TheSouthAfrican.com – Having sex in a hotel room, or in any other bedroom than your own, all comes down to the rush of it all.The ‘Do Not disturb’ sign and the fact that you’re in another environment also contributes to the excitement, but researchers found the rush of the neurotransmitter dopamine (also known as your happy hormone) to be the main reason why people love to have sex in hotel rooms.

Dopamine is what controls the pleasure and reward center of your brain, therefore every time you have a good experience in whatever aspect, a big dose of dopamine are released and leaves you feeling happy.

Ian Kerner, a psychotherapist and best-selling author told Huffington Post:”The novelty of the hotel room is going to stimulate dopamine transmission in the brain, which plays a big role in arousal and sexual excitement.”

Basically a hotel gives you the chance to shake up your routine in order to create some sexual excitement for you and your partner, and it is actually the perfect place to have intercourse.

“There’s something a little luxurious, languorous, and sumptuous about a hotel that lends itself to feeling sexual.”
